History
H-O-H Chemicals, Inc. was incorporated in 1968, after operating as an independent franchise of Dearborn Chemical Company for five years, and has grown to be the leading water treatment company in the Midwest. Headquartered in Palatine IL, H-O-H maintains Water Chemistry Laboratories, Product manufacturing and Distribution facilities. H-O-H branch offices with warehousing are located in Milwaukee Wisconsin and our new location in Walled Lake, Michigan.  Other branch offices include Bloomington, IL and Tennessee. The company was founded by Robert F. Hutchison, who remained active in the business until his death in 1996. Thomas F. Hutchison has been the president of H-O-H since 1989, and is the majority stockholder.

The President's Message

As President of H-O-H Chemicals, it is my responsibility to see that we continue to fulfill the vision set forth by my father, Robert F. Hutchison. His vision was to build a water treatment company that was different. Different through engineered water treatment products and services designed to exceed customer expectations. Different by maintaining a working environment that respects individual achievement, promotes teamwork and nourishes attainment of personal and professional goals. We expect our company culture to develop results driven personnel that are committed to the service of their customers, their company, their industry and each other.

As a Christian, it is my responsibility to glorify our heavenly father in all that I do. Therefore, it is my goal that H-O-H Chemicals effectively demonstrates values in our day to day business operations and in the lives and behavior of our employees that are different. Values that are “Christian”.

Our customers and employees should see the difference in our honesty and in our willingness to serve. They should see the difference in the positive, can-do attitude of our employees. They should see the difference in our commitment to our marriages and families. They should also see the difference in how we give back to the community, by investing time and resources to meet the needs of those less fortunate than ourselves.

It is clear that sustained growth and fair profit are keys to our longevity. We must never forget that customers have choices. Therefore, growth and profit are not our right, but must be earned by providing outstanding value through exceptional technology and unmatched service.

However, all the material success that we achieve will one day be gone. It is more important to me that on that final day, when I stand before my Creator, He will say to me (and hopefully to all of us), “Well done, good and faithful servant “ (Matthew 25:21). This will be the True measure of my success.
